Family Law Lawyer Surabhi Pathak offers creative, rewarding solutions to Family Law issues. She understands the challenges of modern-day parenting and the financial stress that separation can bring. She endeavours to devise solutions with her clients and not for them.
Goals
Surabhi believes in coaching her clients about the process and preparing them for what might come in the long term, to help them make informed decisions. She supports them in managing less complex issues, to lessen their dependence on their legal counsel. She is a staunch supporter of the settlement approach, but she will not hesitate to advocate, powerfully, for her client’s rights and their best interest when this is the required approach.
Education & Experience
An internationally trained lawyer, Surabhi completed her accreditation in Canadian law at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C. and developed her passion for Family Law while working with a notable Family Law firm in London, Ontario, before joining Bair Family Law in October 2020.
Surabhi identified an early interest in Family Law and litigation and honed her legal talents by completing nine legal internships, at various levels of courts, including at the Supreme Court level.
An advocate for access to justice, Surabhi has served with the Access Pro Bono’s Civil Chamber program. She has also volunteered her services with a Vancouver based pro bono Legal Advice Program, providing representation to clients who would otherwise have been unable to fund legal assistance.
As a well traveled and multi-lingual lawyer, Surabhi is able to offer her legal skills to a broader range of Family Law clients than would otherwise be served by our local bar, and to ensure a personally tailored legal experience.
She is the member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Simcoe County Law Association, the Simcoe County Family Law Lawyer’s Association, and the Global Lawyers of Canada.
Languages: English and Hindi language communication available.
